Old Oak Common Tunnel Shutter - Successful Factory Acceptance Test

We are proud to announce the successful Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) of the first Tunnel Shutter for the HS2 Old Oak Common tunnel, designed, built, and tested in collaboration with the SCS JV team.

This automated and modular shutter is engineered to operate across multiple geometries and integrates the K-ONE concrete casting system, ensuring performance and safe operations on site.

This milestone highlights the excellent teamwork and coordination between KERN and SCS JV Teams. The unit will now be disassembled and prepared for delivery to site, where final installation and commissioning will take place, marking another important step forward for HS2.
